Extra white hydrated building lime is manufactured in the process of hydration (“dry slaking”) of very active high-quality ground quick lime. Following slaking, the product has the following properties: very large size reduction, complete volume stability, high degree of whiteness and large active surface, which markedly increase its efficiency, plasticity and workability. Extra white hydrated building lime is mainly designed for the manufacture of plaster mortar and masonry mortar. Mortars containing hydrated lime are highly alkaline, which is why they are a good solution for buildings with increased sanitary requirements due to their high resistance to fungal spread.
